DRIVING DIRECTIONS (upon arrival to Murphys):
Arriving to Murphys via Hwy#4 (from Angels Camp) you will arrive at a stoplight in the middle of town (it is the ONLY stoplight in town). Go straight through the light and continue up Highway #4. There are two options for parking:
1- This first option is my personal choice as it’s easily accessed right off the highway. However, be aware that it is a u-drive back onto the highway and there are bumps in the road on a little hill when you pull back out. Also, if you have a lot of luggage it will be further to walk to the house.
After passing through the stoplight, continue driving several hundred yards up Hwy #4. On your right you will see a 45mph sign. SLOW DOWN. The driveway is on your right immediately after the mileage sign. It is hardly noticeable, so go slow (if you pass signs that say “American-made Furniture or El Jardin Restaurant” you have gone too far). You will see a rock wall with arches. Please park in designated parking spot on your right as this entrance/road is also shared by the neighbors. To get to the house, go through the arch/metal gate and across the bridge. Use your four digit code above to unlock the door.
2- After passing through the stoplight, continue driving several hundred yards up Hwy #4. On your right you will see a 45mph sign. Continue driving about 200 feet and turn right on the first major road (this is Tanner Street but is not marked. If you go past signs that say “American-made furniture or El Jardin Restaurant” you have gone too far.) You will pass two houses on your right. Look for a post on the right with a black mailbox that says 460A. This is where you will turn down the gravel alleyway. The home is at the very end past two houses. Please park parallel as designated so that the neighbor can also turn around. Use the 4-digit code above to unlock the front door.
